Orlando No. 3 in nation in underwater mortgages; owners ponder leaving
Mark and Susan Stone are weighing a decision being echoed across Central Florida: Should we stay in a home worth less than the mortgage — or walk away?
Finding The Best Homeowners Insurance Rates is Easy
Insurance and loss of item?
A relative lost a very expensive piece of jewelry. The item was lost at the place of business – a store they run. Someone must have picked it up and walked off with it. Would this be insured under homeowner’s, or the business? They don’t really want to claim it on the business. (Not sure why – maybe worried about the rates). They have records of its value and documentation. I think a police report should be filed and a claim on the insurance. Any information? Don’t say to claim it was lost in a different place than it was.
Maybe neither. It’s not the store’s insurance, FOR SURE. And if the homeowners policy didn’t schedule it seperately, then “oops I lost it” isn’t covered under the standard homeowners policy.
So. The policy to file it under, is the homeowners policy. It’s flat out not insured under the business policy. Employers aren’t responsible for the stuff their employees lose, or customers lose, in the store.
